Development of the STEIM USB Controller
and some devices built with it...
Pics of the development of the STEIM USB Controller - it's a USB-powered sensor interface that has 8 analog sensor inputs (the
1/8" mini-jacks), and 16 digital inputs for switches (the DB-25
connector). You can hook up whatever sensors you want (eg knobs, pressure,
proximity, etc) to the analog inputs. It uses a PIC microcontroller with
built-in ADC+USB.
STEIM is planning to sell them
for around 100 Euros for people who
want to use them for interactive music/art projects.
